Great seats.

Yesterday was a big day with my chemotherapy. No, I didn’t get another infusion, I had my head buzzed. A #2 buzz cut to be exact (couldn’t find the #1 attachment, but I’m not sure it would have made a huge difference). My hair probably won’t fall out for another two weeks but my hairdresser and I took the proactive approach and just lopped it off.

I’ve retired my shampoo and hair dryer, and will shortly be able to retire my razors. I am stashing my hair color and cut money for something special when this is all over. I am wearing the knitted hats from my neighbor and finding them comfortable both during the day and the evenings.

I will be without hair for about 18 months after my least treatment which looks to be around mid summer, so that would mean that I will be chilly for about 2 years. In the spring and summer I will wear my baseball caps with my new “hair for wigs” currently on order.

The best part of the next two weeks is that I love the feel of running my hands through my buzz cut. It feels like “theater seats”. You know, the kind from back in the day when you could brush them with your hand and they would change the shade of the seat. For $10 toward our Relay for Life Team, I am offering anyone (that I know well enough) to run their hand through my theater seats…it’s a great cause.
